Comedian David Letterman retired from hosting The Late Show on CBS in 2015 after 35 years of hosting three talk shows. He didn't retire fully, though, going on to host the excellent My Next Guest Needs No Introduction on Netflix and appearing semi-regularly on his YouTube channel with new videos alongside clips of both Late Night and The Late Show.

I have been a big fan of David Letterman since I was 13. His humor and quick wit have always amazed me. Luckily for fans, his YouTube channel uploads new videos nearly every day.

One of those videos caught my attention when Bar Harbor was mentioned. I can only assume that Letterman meant Bar Harbor, Maine. There's only one other Bar Harbor in the world, and it's a part of Riviera Beach, Maryland.

In the video (and in pure Letterman fashion), he's standing in front of a park fountain alongside his assistant Mary Barclay and former executive producer Barbara Gaines. The three say that they're touring the country, and are currently at Yellowstone National Park at Old Faithful.

As they wrap up the video, Letterman rattles off a list of places they'll be stopping at on the tour, including Bar Harbor.

Now keep in mind, you can't believe everything that comes out of Dave's mouth. After all, he says he's standing in front of Old Faithful. But it wouldn't be out of the question for him to travel to Bar Harbor, since he lives in North Salem, New York.

My guess is he was just rattling off places, but if he's mentioning Bar Harbor, he may just be planning a visit.
