Enter the Magical World of Kinetic Light Sculptures in Maine
An extraordinary public art installation is coming to downtown Waterville, and you should be prepared to be dazzled by the unforgettable experiences.
The Australian creative team called Skunk Control has designed "Light Sentinels," a series of light-up flower sculptures coming to Castonguay Square in Waterville.
If you want to become "enlightened" by this magical installation featuring 10 towering kinetic flower sculptures standing 16-20 feet tall, then this is your place to visit!
According to Waterville Creates, the sculptures actually move to open and close their petals, which is going to cast vibrant and colored light shadows! These beauties are ever-changing from every angle.
As the lights move, the visual experience will be epic. I can't wait to see it! Visual art has become prominent here in Maine, and Waterville Creates is one place that lets these inventive and artistic people show off their innovative creations.
When is it?
You can experience the mesmerizing "Light Sentinels" installation at Castonguay Square in downtown Waterville from June 7 to October 31, 2024.
Ticonic Gallery and Studios posted the display announcement, and it's creating excitement all over Central Maine.
Additionally, Skunk Control will conduct a series of free outreach programs in June that you can check out here!
Skunk Control has been honored as the 2024 award recipient for Waterville Creates! Don't miss this enchanting event, where art and light come together to create an unforgettable experience. For more details and to pre-register for the outreach programs, visit the Waterville Creates website.
