The Greek-owned chain of grocery stores out of Massachusetts has been teasing us with their third location for a couple of years. But the wait is over! According to Mainebiz, they will have over 50,000 grocery items, along with a butcher shop, takeout kitchen, and cafe with seating! But I've got a friend who can't wait for their jelly donuts!

He is constantly telling me HOW MUCH JELLY is in them!

The CEO of Market Basket, Arthur T. Demoulas, told Mainebiz,

Market Basket is eager to join the greater Topsham community and we appreciate the warm welcome and support we have received to date. This is a great opportunity for Market Basket to provide additional shopping options to the community, in addition to approximately 300 new jobs for new and existing associates to build successful careers. It’s been wonderful to hear from community members about how eager they are for us to open our doors; we can’t wait to welcome them on June 14.

This is Market Basket's 90th store, and Maine's third. The original Maine Market Basket opened in Biddeford, followed by Rock Row in Westbrook. Now, Topsham joins the list.

We love Market Basket so much. You could open one in every town, and we'd support it!
