With all of Portland's ocean views also comes all of the smells, and let me tell you they can get BRUTAL. Only real Mainer's will cringe when I say fisherman’s bait and these 3 other words.

Maybe you're here because you wan't to see if your own thoughts add up with mine. I can promise they won't, but there's always that one percentage of locals who agree with me that red snappers just aren't it.

Portland may not be the best city to find an authentic bagel in (unless you go to Forage Market), but you'll find some authentic, really delicious ice cream shops like Sammy's.

Bobbles & Lace is one of those shops I'd consistently drive past on a daily basis and say to myself "one day I'll get in there" (we all know that feeling). Well, I finally made it in there and I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Look at this:

The best part about Portland, Maine is the diversity of original breweries we have here. We're absolutely a foodie and drink town which makes it possibly a bit easier not to realize some of the best ones have closed down. Did you know Sebago Brewing in Portland is gone?! Here's a few more.

Maine literally looks like vacationland in the summertime and if you do your exploring right, you can find some seriously cool spots in nature not everybody knows about. Here's mine.

These little annoyances are actually found in a place that perfectly describes Maine (damnit). The same reasons we love the beautiful scenery in Maine during the summertime is also why we're a perfect environment for them, damnit. But I've got solutions, ready?

Is it not always a hilarious sight to catch an abnormally long line of people waiting for the doors to open to something like a concert or grand opening? Well Westbrook's new Playa Bowls has really been making locals go wild and I love it. Here's what happened at their grand opening.

It's about time an up-and-coming town like Westbrook, Maine opens up more healthy food chain options. Just as I thought Chick-fil-e was going to be our one and done celebrity chain restaurant in the Rock Row Plaza, I was happily mistaken. Playa Bowls Westbrook has been born baby!

Temple St. was home to the Old Port Nutrition, a favorite shop of mine in town. When they closed down I almost cried, but being replaced by this awesome bubble tea spot doesn't suck!

The best part of Portland (in my opinion) is the gorgeous ocean views that seemingly take next to no effort to look as beautiful as they do. Is there really anything better than discovering a beautiful new lookout to spend some alone time at? See if you've been to these 3 yet.

Pre-covid nobody cared about Maine and said things like, "you couldn't pay me to move all the way out in the middle of no where". Now I'd love to pay everybody to stop moving here, especially to Sanford.

Maine is funny. We're home to the LARGEST salt marsh in the entire WORLD (proven fact), Scarborough Marsh, but also home to a strip club. Something for everyone, huh? Check this out.

I'll say this, with the exception of Brian Boru. Vacant store fronts in Maine don't really stay vacant very long so it's been fun to watch whatever new business comes in next like these new businesses below.

This is no joke. As a very serious Maxx-inista myself, I could probably tell you the location and inventory of every single Marshall's or TJMaxx in Maine. Their Windham location is the goat of all Maine Marshalls though so let's tap into why.
