Nicholas and his family moved to Maine in the summer of 2014. In April, 2015 - they found a tumor in Nick's brain. They moved to Tennessee to get treatment at St. Jude and have just recently been able to finally come home to Maine.
At Whittier Middle School, they believe students are at their best when they have a chance to be active. Building movement into the school day has a positive impact on students’ behavior, confidence, focus and preparedness to learn.
- What started out as a class project for two 7th graders at Lyman Moore Middle School, Lauren Paradise and Karina Boothe, has grown into the first-ever HyperHeart 5K Walk/Race to raise awareness and funds for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), a rare heart disorder that is often not discovered until after a person passes away.
