3 boys have been charged by Lewiston police with vandalizing the elementary school on Lisbon Street and stealing cash, radios and even some computers, according to an article in the Sun Journal. One of the boys is a former student while the other two still go to the school.

The paper reports the three boys, two age 11 and one age 12, were charged with burglary, and theft by unauthorized taking, both felonies, and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

Lewiston police say the boys most likely broke in over the weekend and then vandalized the school, taking an Acer laptop, a few Apple iPads, some portable radios and cash. They also damaged some areas of the school and left some graffiti before their crime spree ended.

According to Lt. David St. Pierre of the Lewiston Police Department, the city will seek restitution while the superintendent of the school, and other officials are determining what level of school discipline is appropriate, the Sun Journal reports.
