Well, at least Patrick Dempsey looked great as he took to the mound at Fenway Park to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Boston Red Sox on Friday, April 26.

Comparatively speaking, McDreamy did a great job throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the Sox game. It was all to celebrate the second annual Drive Fore Kids Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament in June. Patrick Dempsey will be at the tournament. The ambitious goal this year is to raise over $100,000 for both the Dempsey Center and the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. Now onto that pitch.

Not bad, not bad. It's a lot of pressure to throw out the first pitch. I mean, they make it look pretty easy on TV. In a video taken for Drive Fore Kids, you can hear poor Patrick say, "That was rather embarrassing."

Oooooh, it wasn't that bad or embarrassing. Keep looking, Patrick.

Let's see now. Boston native and star of The Bear, Ayo Edebiri, took the mound before a Red Sox vs. Yankees game at Fenway!

Not bad, not bad. How did New England's favorite retired football player, Rob Gronkowski, do during his time at the mound at a Red Sox game?

As expected, he was full-on Gronk!

But by far, the most memorable pitch for so many reasons comes from 17-year-old cancer survivor Jordan Leandre. In August of 2017 he threw out a ceremonial first pitch. Let's just say he was a little outside. He said that as soon as it left his hand, he knew it wasn't going anywhere near the plate.

It did not. In fact, it nailed Lawrence Eagle Tribune photographer Tony Capobian below the belt. Enjoy.

So all things considered, Maine's Patrick Dempsey had a perfect pitch, because no one was hurt. We love you, Patrick!
