Is It Weird to Have a Mirror On My Cubicle Wall?
I decided to do some minor decorating around my cubicle yesterday. I don't spend much time at my desk, but when I do I want the space to look cute and organized. I also want it to have some features that help me get through the day, like pictures of One Direction, custom artwork from my coworkers, and a mirror so I can check if there's any food in my teeth after breakfast. Pretty standard stuff.
Well, apparently my cubicle mirror upset the delicate balance of peace in the office because I returned from a meeting to find the mirror flipped around backwards. Jeff doesn't like the mirror because he can see himself in it when I'm not at my desk. I guess this is Jeff's first run in with a mirror.
I threw a mini fit about the whole thing and tried to get some sympathy from my coworkers. Isn't my mirror cute? Isn't it a great idea to have a mirror in my cubicle?
No! The majority of my coworkers thought the mirror was either weird or vain. The only person who thought it was a good idea was Mike Marcello, our Director of Sales, who said he encourages his sales team to look in a mirror and smile when they're on sales calls.
What do you think? Is it strange to have a mirror in my cubicle?
